Mrs. Arey is the vocal music teacher at Franklin. She teaches general music to students in kindergarten through 5th grade. She also directs the 5th grade chorus.
Mrs. Arey has been teaching vocal music in Baltimore County since 2003. She has previously taught at Harford Hills, Riderwood, Glyndon, Pinewood and White Oak Elementary Schools in Baltimore County. Her students have performed at Camden Yards and as guest performers with the Baltimore Choral Arts Society.
Mrs. Arey has been a member of the Baltimore Choral Arts
Society where she has performed with the full chorus, the chamber choir and has
been featured as a soloist. She is the Alto section leader and soloist for the
Church of the Good Shepherd in Ruxton, MD and performs regularly as a church
musician throughout Maryland.
Mrs. Arey received her Bachelor's degree in music education at Oberlin Conservatory in Ohio. She received her Masters' degree at the American Kodaly Institute at Loyola University in Maryland.
